i don't care who runs the world.

"see, frankly my dear, i don't give a damn."

see, i just don't care.

so let me tell you about tonite.

if you read this thing then you know i got a divorce.

so... anyway... i went out tonite. and you know what? i just really
had a lot of fun. it was pretty neat. hell. i was shooting pool with
a guy that whipped my ass every game. and he had a Mohican haircut.

two women came into the bar. one was the singer from the band i was
in recently. (for me, about, i don't know, about 3 years ago).
her friend was there too, and you want to know something? we just
connected. i suppose it was the beer, but it was like bonding.

like knowing something you can never possess, and knowing you never want to.
so anyway, it was karaoke night at this beer bar in this tiny town
in texas. oh! i almost forgot. i went to another local watering hole before
i got there. whoa!!! but i digress...

so anyway, i get hugs from the girls, i call them that because they are
not yet 30, and i haven't my glasses on. now here's the ripper.

the singer (pipes i nicknamed her) approached me and said she was to sing a
song for me.

the song was bobbie magee. done by janis joplin. and the girl wailed.
pipes has a beautiful voice. a voice can only accomplish what it believes
in. if you were ever on a stage performing you would know that.

see, i wanted to start out to tell you how wonderful tonight was
and how i was treated special. geeze, there sure were a lot of people.
there was a guy named nick that was 27 or thereabouts, that seemed
like he just needed to meet me, or talk to me, or whatever. so i talked
to him. then i changed my focus. ohh! me and pipes sang together
for the first time. on one of her songs we used to do.

in all i really had a lot of fun tonite. ohh!!! then bear is there,
now get this. we drink a beer or 2,... geeze, the power of a human voice
can change the direction of human thought. as the perception of letters
can change the thought of those that can read them.

anyway, it was a really cool nite. i never knew i had such respect
in this tiny town that i love.
