the tragedy in asia

what has happened in asia is a tragedy of horrific and epic proportions.
it is a human tragedy, not a social or political one.

the anguish of the survivors, the pain of the loved ones lost,
the magnitude of the suffering both physical and emotional
is unequaled in recent world history.

as the losses mount we, the unaffected, should share the grief,
if only to affirm our humanity on this earth.

yuletide

it is good that humanity shares an instant in life together.
as it is common throughout the earth.

that mankind can put away the dictation of an angry life
for one glimpse of what life is about.

that humankind can slow down the invincible hatred of itself
for a shallow sacred second,
to share itself in a better light
than it's ever shared before.

in yuletide.

and maybe that is what it is about. a time in life,
to care less for oneself, and more for others.

difficulty

it is hard, sometimes, to know what is real.
sometimes harder even to spell it. for what it's worth.

introspection is a fascinating game, best left to a novice.
for what it's worth.

my dreams have changed over time. as i have. as we do. over time.

a recurring dream is to run. i will never run like that.
a recurring dream are my parents. they are gone. in this life.
a recurring dream is where i sleep. and the roof leaks.

there are none like that in reality, only in sleep.

my dreams change over time. as we do.

it is hard sometimes to forsee, with the best of our abilities in life,
to dream.

i apoligize not...the thrill is gone...

it is hard sometimes to think in slow motion. so i will try for you.
you see, life is a burning candle,
we hold it in our hand,
the wax runs down,
we get burned.

we hold our souls, or our children, in such a light.
that less is more. or maybe less.

you see, it is hard sometimes, to think in slow motion.
when the knowledge of earth rushes to me
in such a fashion.

that the knowledge is past.

this is a photo of halley's comet i took the last time it was here. i have rescanned it. it is accurate on the web concerning the lighting at that time. i took this photo with a 50mm lens mounted piggyback on a celestron spc-8. it is a time exposure. it is pre-dawn. the limb in the foreground gives an indication of the scale of the comet viewed by the naked eye. at that time. around 3/21/86. i took this picture. i was going to say something else important, but i have forgotten.  Posted by Hello
